Bluemix \ SoftLayer

IBM Bluemix is a cloud platform as a service (PaaS) developed by IBM. It supports several programming languages and services as well as integrated DevOps to build, run, deploy and manage applications on the cloud. Bluemix is based on Cloud Foundry open technology and runs on SoftLayer infrastructure.

My 1st impression on SoftLayer cloud after working a long time with AWS cloud , which really impress me you can own a bare metal server on SoftLayer and you can host your own ESXi server , after that there are no limit to create number  of VMs you can go max capacity of your host hardware and delete \re-create VMs as you manage on your own data center , for sure there are few limitations as you connecting Softlayer network via internet ( VPN\Dedicated link ) so you will not get everything which you was gating in your in house data-center .

> in your own datacenter ESXi server you can mount any ISO via vSphere Client and install OS , but now when you have ESXi host on softlayer you can not mount ISO file which you have in your workstation or laptop to ESXi host provided by softlayer , you 1st need to upload your ISO to datastore or install vSphere Client from a softlayer provided VM and then mount ISO from that VM to ESXi .
